June Newsletter
June has been a month of momentum, visibility, and valuable conversations. From exhibiting at Med-Tech Innovation Expo to connecting with industry leaders at EBME Expo and the London Biotechnology Show, the Periculo team has been out in full force, highlighting the role of cybersecurity in driving safer, more resilient digital health innovation.
On top of that, we’ve been flat-out supporting clients with their NHS DSPT audits as the end-of-June deadline approaches, adding even more energy to an already fast-paced month.
Here’s what we’ve been up to...
Events Recap – A Month on the Move for Periculo
Craig, Jack and Cory at Med Tech Expo
June has taken us across the UK’s healthtech, medtech, and biotech sectors—and we’ve loved every moment of it.
Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2025
We were proud to exhibit at the Med-Tech Innovation Expo in Birmingham, placing Periculo at the forefront of digital health security.
We had some fantastic conversations with healthtech leaders and NHS suppliers about ISO 27001, DSPT audit readiness, and penetration testing. A standout moment? Our live ethical hacking demonstration gave attendees a real-time look at how our penetration tests operate and how we help clients stay protected.
EBME Expo
Craig represented Periculo at the EBME Expo in Coventry, connecting with medical device engineers, digital health specialists, and NHS Trusts. Conversations focused on securing connected devices and the growing need for cybersecurity assurance in clinical settings.
London Biotechnology Show
Cory joined partners and innovators at the London Biotechnology Show. It was great to support our partners at All Med Pro, where they were helping organisations access tailored insurance and free penetration testing offers.
Thanks to everyone we spoke with this month. Your challenges and ideas continue to shape how we support this fast-moving sector.
Security Fact of the Month
One in three healthcare organisations experienced a cloud security incident in the past year.
As digital health companies move more services into the cloud, misconfigurations, unmanaged access, and third-party integrations are among the top causes of data exposure.

Security Tip of the Month
Turn Off What You’re Not Using
Unnecessary services, open ports, and unused accounts are often overlooked and exploited. Regularly review systems and disable anything not in use. The smaller your attack surface, the harder it is for attackers to get in.
Jargon Buster
Attack Surface
The total number of ways a system could be accessed or attacked. This includes software, services, endpoints, and users. Reducing the attack surface is one of the most effective ways to improve cybersecurity posture.
